PRO BRO GROUP OPENS FIRST TUNNEL CAR WASH IN LATVIA

On 4 September, Lithuania’s leading cleaning services company PRO BRO Group opened the first “PRO BRO Express” tunnel car wash in Riga, at 95C Juglas Street, investing almost EUR 6 million in the development of the car wash. This is the first step in the company’s international development plans: around 10 car washes are expected to be built in Latvia by 2025, alongside construction work in other European countries.

So far, PRO BRO Group has already signed seven contracts for the development and lease of car washes in Latvia. The company plans to open three more car washes by the end of 2024. At the same time, the company is looking for land plots and development partners in Estonia and Poland, while in Finland, together with local partners, the company is already setting up and planning the first 10 sites. Overall, the company plans to own 100 PRO BRO Express tunnel car wash franchises in different European countries within five years.

“In preparation for expansion outside Lithuania, we restructured the company and updated its visual identity. All of the company’s “express” tunnel car washes in Lithuania and abroad already operate under the “PRO BRO Express” name. For the next five years, we have an ambitious goal to expand across Europe, and we are consistently doing so close to home – in the Baltic region,” says Ignas Pranskevičius, Member of the Board and CEO of PRO BRO Group.

“At the Express car wash, each car is washed in just 96 seconds. There are three entry rows and a 21-space vacuum area. Up to 90% of the water used in the washing process is recycled and returned for reuse.

“A special feature of the PRO BRO Express tunnel carwash network is that customers can choose between a monthly or annual subscription, which allows them not only to use the washing services, but also to use the vacuum cleaners free of charge at any PRO BRO carwash in Latvia that will open in the future. For those customers who do not need to wash their cars that often, they can buy a SMART E-PAY one-off wash online, thus paying contactlessly and avoiding queuing, while getting a fast, convenient, efficient and environmentally friendly service.

“Our innovative and sustainable technological solutions are the foundation of the company. PRO BRO EXPRESS’ advantage compared to its competitors is the speed and quality of the service, which is also appreciated by investors. We aim to own around 100 franchise sites across Europe in five years’ time and to become a market leader outside Lithuania. We have already started selling car wash equipment in Germany,” says Ignas Pranskevičs.

The network is being developed on a franchise business model – 14 of the 16 PRO BRO Express tunnel car washes in Lithuania are managed in this way. The Latvian car wash also operates on a franchise basis.

The company owns the Švaros broliai brand, which operates five car detailing service centres, a network of 21 self-service car washes and a cleaning company. The Group and its companies employ more than 750 people. According to unaudited data, PRO BRO Group’s consolidated revenue in 2022 was EUR 25.5 million, 51% more than in 2021 (EUR 16.9 million).
